A Study in Blue and White
The limited colors in this photo are wonderful, consisting mostly of the white snowy egret against blue water. It was one of the more successful uses of the blue and gold filter I've mentioned before, nicely enhancing the blue water. (While it is rather expensive, it is one of the few filter effects that cannot be "reproduced" in a program like Photoshop.) I could wish, that the wings were not blurred, however. In every other way, I like the picture, but my attention is always drawn to the blurred wings which, given the sharpness of the rest of the image, is not a good thing.
