I took a series of photos a few days ago of geese coming in to land at a pond. Almost any time I have taken this type of image, the geese are all very close to the same distance from the camera and all look approximately the same size.
What struck me about these photos is how they are stretched out into the background, appearing large in front and small in the rear. I don't ever remember seeing them lined up like this before.
It recalled to mind photos I have seen of squadrons of Allied bombers headed for places like Dresden and Hamburg during World War II.
I have included one such picture so that you can compare.
